New Year's Eve 2026 in Ashburn: a library countdown and Noon Year's Eve for kids Dec. 31, lights through Jan. 3, rec center hours and Jan. 1 closures.

Last checked Oct. 19, 2026. This page is updated each year at the same address. Sources: the Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services 2026-27 Winter Activity Guide, the Loudoun County Public Library calendar, Loudoun County’s holiday schedule and Lansdowne Resort.

New Year’s Eve 2026 falls on a Thursday, and New Year’s Day on a Friday, so the holiday makes a long weekend. Ashburn’s New Year’s Eve is mostly a daytime affair for families: a library countdown in Brambleton and a Noon Year’s Eve party at Hanson Regional Park, both ending at noon so small children can ring in the year before lunch. The county’s free light displays stay open through Jan. 3. Restaurant and hotel parties are listed below only once the venue posts them.
