Loudoun County Public Schools’ spring break in 2027 runs Monday, March 22, to Friday, March 26. Easter falls on Sunday, March 28, so the week off ends with Easter weekend and students return Monday, March 29. That is a week earlier than in 2026, when spring break was March 30 to April 3. The county’s Spring 2027 Activity Guide, with the camp list, goes online by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2027.

Camps

The 2027 camp listings are not out yet. These ran during spring break 2026, from the county’s Spring 2026 Activity Guide, and give a guide to what to expect:

  • School’s Out Camp, Ashburn Recreation and Community Center, 21105 Coopers Hawk Drive. Ages 6 to 11, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday of spring break: swimming, arts and crafts and games. Campers bring a nut-free lunch, snacks, a water bottle, swimsuit and towel. The same camp runs on single days off, such as March 8-9.
  • Spring Break Camp, Claude Moore Recreation and Community Center, 46105 Loudoun Park Lane, Sterling. Ages 3 to 5, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and ages 6 to 11, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., all week.
  • Spring Break Camp, Dulles South Recreation and Community Center, 24950 Riding Center Drive, South Riding. Ages 6 to 12, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with swimming and the climbing wall.

Private sports camps also run through PRCS during the break, including basketball, soccer and tennis; they are listed in the same guide. In 2026, general registration for spring programs opened at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, for county residents.

Things to do during the week

  • Piece of the Puzzle, Claude Moore Park, 46150 Loudoun Park Lane, Sterling. In 2026 the park hid puzzle pieces around its grounds for spring break week; finders brought each piece to the Visitor Center, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a small prize. Free. The park is open daily from 7 a.m. to sunset.
  • Burnie’s Spring Splash, Ashburn Recreation and Community Center. A movie night in the leisure pool with a lazy-river paddle and a rubber duck to take home, for ages 3 and older. In 2026 it was 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 27.
  • Indoor swimming. The Ashburn center’s competition and leisure pools are open daily; the leisure pool has a lazy river and a children’s splash area.
  • Algonkian Regional Park, 47001 Fairway Drive, Sterling. NOVA Parks’ 838-acre park on the Potomac is open daily, sunrise to sunset, with paved and natural trails, a playground, picnic shelters and an 18-hole golf course.
  • The W&OD Trail and the county parks in our parks and trails guide are open all week.
  • Easter egg hunts cluster at the end of the week; see Easter in Ashburn.

What is open

Spring break is not on Loudoun County’s holiday schedule, so county offices keep their usual hours during the week. The recreation centers opened 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Easter Sunday in 2026.

What this means for you

Mark Jan. 15, 2027, when the spring guide goes online, and register when general registration opens if you need all-day care that week.
