State report card
Virginia rates each school two ways on its School Quality Profile. Accreditation shows whether the state has approved the evidence the Standards of Accreditation require. The School Performance and Support Framework gives each school a score and one of four performance levels: Distinguished, Meets Expectations, Approaching Expectations or Needs Intensive Support, as listed in the LCPS division summary.
- Accreditation, 2025-26: Fully Accredited
- Framework score: 95.3, rated Distinguished, in the division summary
Standards of Learning pass rates (grades 3 to 5, share of tested students who passed), from the School Quality Profile:
| Subject | 2023-24 | 2024-25 | 2025-26 |
|---|---|---|---|
| English reading | 86% | 86% | 88% |
| Math | 89% | 89% | 86% |
| Science | 83% | 86% | 74% |

Rezoning. On Dec. 16, 2025, the School Board adopted Redistrict Plan 280, as amended, which changed elementary zones in the Ashburn and Dulles North area starting this school year, according to the board summary. Hillside Elementary gave up territory: in the plan map and capacity table presented Dec. 11, before the board’s amendments, the school’s 2025-26 resident students went from 610 under the old lines to 420 under the plan. Its base capacity is 661 students, so that is 92% of capacity before and 64% after.

How we checked: we matched Loudoun County’s 140,707 address points against LCPS’s 2026-27 elementary, middle and high school zone layers. LCPS does not publish a feeder list, so the feeder lines and shares are our count; the zone lines are the division’s own.
