Attendance zone

Of its 2,790 county address points, 87% for Brambleton Middle and then Independence High and 13% for Stone Hill Middle and then Rock Ridge High. Students zoned for Brambleton Middle attend Watson Mountain Middle School, 41480 Steeplechase Loop Drive, Leesburg, for grades 6 and 7 and Brambleton Middle for grade 8 in 2025-26, 2026-27 and 2027-28, under the non-traditional plan the School Board approved Feb. 14, 2023, according to LCPS. Brambleton returns to grades 6 to 8 in fall 2028.
Rezoning. On Dec. 16, 2025, the School Board adopted Redistrict Plan 280, as amended, which changed elementary zones in the Ashburn and Dulles North area starting this school year, according to the board summary. Legacy Elementary took in territory: in the plan map and capacity table presented Dec. 11, before the board’s amendments, the school’s 2025-26 resident students went from 539 under the old lines to 779 under the plan.

How we checked: we matched Loudoun County’s 140,707 address points against LCPS’s 2026-27 elementary, middle and high school zone layers. LCPS does not publish a feeder list, so the feeder lines and shares are our count; the zone lines are the division’s own.
